Mr Rosten-Smart – SENCO and Transition Coordinator

Hi, I’m Mr Rosten-Smart, I have worked at Polesworth for nearly 20 years. As well as being SENCO I am also in charge of Transition and I teach History and Politics. I love working in a school, no two days are the same and you can never quite predict how the day will go! Outside of school I enjoy going to the theatre, eating out and spending time with my family and friends.

Mrs Smith – Inclusion Manager

I’m Mrs Smith,Ā  Inclusion Manager and Specialist Assessor, supporting students with additional needs.Ā  My role is both challenging and rewarding.Ā  I am Currently in my 25th year working at The Polesworth school, which clearly indicates how much I enjoy my job and working with teenagers. I have 2 children who both attended this school, they are now adults, and I am blessed with a baby granddaughter.Ā  My hobbies include swimming, cycling, and walking my dog. However, my favourite pastime is spending time with my family.

Mrs K Taylor – SEND Admin Support

Hi, I’m Kerri-Anne, the Inclusion Admin Assistant. I have been at The Polesworth School since 2020 and started here as an Exam Invigilator and COVID Tester. I enjoy working in the Inclusion Department with the variety and scope of my role. I love travelling and aim to visit every country.

Miss West – HLTA

I’m Emily West I’ve been at Polesworth for nearly 5 years. I am a Higher Level Teaching Assistant and work within the Inclusion department. It’s great working in a school because you get to be an important part of a students journey. watching them grow and succeed is amazing. In my spare time I love to cook and and visit National trust houses and gardens.

Miss Parker – Teaching Assistant

Hello, I’m Miss Parker. I have only very recently joined the Polesworth team as a Teaching Assistant but already I feel completely at home within this fantastic school.

Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family and beautiful children.

Mrs Cornock – Teaching Assistant

Hi my name is Mrs Cornock and I have worked as a Teaching Assistant at The Polesworth School since 2016.

I first became interested in education when my own children started school and I began to volunteer. I enjoyed it so much that my family suggested that I should become qualified and get a job doing something that I clearly love.

Outside school I enjoy gardening and country walks with friends and family.

Mrs Allbrighton – Teaching Assistant

My name is Mrs Allbrighton. I have worked at The Polesworth School in inclusion department since November 2020. I have always dreamt of working in Education and here I am. My motto of life is ā€œNever Give Up On Your Dreamsā€ because I didn’t 😊 Ā I have got three children – two teenage boys and a younger girl and in my spare time, whenever I have any, I like to bake and absolutely love taking my daughter shopping and having a little coffee break.

Mrs Goddard – Teaching Assistant

Hello, my name is Mrs Goddard, I have worked at Polesworth since 2016. My favourite subjects are Science and History. I went to Polesworth as a student myself so I absolutely love being back here as my place of work. Outside of school I have a little boy, we enjoy weekends away, going to theme parks such as Legoland. My favourite place to go on holiday is Walt Disney world in Florida.

Mrs Turner – Teaching Assistant

My name is Helen Turner and I have been at the Polesworth school for seven years. I enjoy working with different students in all subjects.Ā  I have three children who all went to this school.Ā  In my free time I enjoy walking with my dogs, gardening and reading.

Mrs Colver – Teaching Assistant

Hi I’m Mrs Colver,Ā  I have worked at polesworth for 16yrsĀ  mainly in science,Ā  then recently moving to the inclusion department as a TA. I enjoy my new role as no 2 days are ever the same.
Outside of school I like to spend time with family and friends.

Mrs Smythe – Teaching Assistant

I joined the inclusion team at Polesworth in November and enjoy helping and supporting children across the school to achieve to the best of their own individual abilities. I really enjoy working within the team and getting to know the children. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with family/friends and taking my dog on long country walks!

Miss Carford – Teaching Assistant

I am privileged to be new to the Inclusion Team at The Polesworth School as a Teaching Assistant. I thrive from infusing a positive, compassionate attitude to students and seeing their progression throughout their journey here. The role is incredibly rewarding, insightful and fulfilling to be in. I have a young Daughter and Son and we enjoy having homely days, time spent in the countryside, crafts and day trips to different towns together. I studied Law and Sociology as a degree. I am blessed to have made lifelong friendsĀ  from attending university in London, whom I also cherish having time with. It’s lovely to be part of such an inspiring team here at The Polesworth School.

Miss Dodd – Teaching Assistant

I am passionate about education, and I thoroughly enjoy working alongside the wonderful children and staff at The Polesworth School. I attended university in Cambridge and graduated with a degree in History. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, I am particularly fond of the works of Virginia Woolf and Edgar Allen Poe.Ā  I also enjoy visiting art galleries and museums.
