A-Level Examination Results 2016

The Polesworth School 6th Form @ Tomlinson Hall, rated OUSTANDING by OFSTED, is celebrating another excellent academic performance at A Level, with their best ever results, improving further on last year. The vast majority of students are now heading to universities across the country including some of the most prestigious.

Lynn Munn, Director of Sixth Form said, “Behind these exceptional results, is a wide range of individual success stories with many students exceeding their target grades.  Outstanding performances include:

Amelia Hunt (3A*, 1A) who will be reading Theatre and French at Bristol; Lucy Brown (2A*, 2A) who will be embarking upon a medical degree course at Birmingham University; Johnny Sutton (2A*, 1A, 1B) who has secured his place to read Modern History and Politics at Cardiff; Will Baggott (1A*, 2A, 1B)  who is going on to read Computer Science at Leicester; Scarlet Crooke (1A*, 2A) who will be pursuing her love of Theatre at Lancaster; Oliver Dudley (4A) who received an unconditional offer to study Neuroscience at Leicester; Amy Iles (A*, 2A, B) who will be moving to moving to Bristol to study Theatre and Performance and Christian Malewski (A*, 2A, B) who will be reading Mathematics.

Headteacher Maura Favell said, “We are extremely proud of their success as their commitment to their studies and contribution to our wider school community have been superb. Students’ progress can be attributed to high expectations, diligence and first class relationships.  I thank everyone who has made this possible; this success is the result of outstanding teaching, guidance and support.  I wish everyone the very best for the future”.
